Privacy policy
How we use education enquiries and optional website tracking.
Updated 30 October 2026
Who is responsible for your information?
Fortem Information Technology Limited is responsible for personal information collected through this education website. Company number 05924916. Registered office: Belmont, Belmont Road, Uxbridge, England, UB8 1HE. ICO registration reference: ZA569020.
Privacy and deletion requests are handled by Nit Ratnam. Email hello@fortem-it.com or call 020 3802 2000.
Information we collect and why
Education enquiries collect your name, organisation, work email, optional telephone number, areas of interest, enquiry type and the details you choose to provide. We use this information to respond, discuss requirements, prepare quotations and manage our business relationships. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or taking steps towards a contract where applicable.
Website hosting and email systems process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and security records to deliver and protect the service. Please do not include passwords, payment details, pupil records or other sensitive information in an enquiry.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Where the form offers a separate marketing choice, it is optional and unchecked by default. You can withdraw that consent or object to marketing at any time.
Cookies, tracking and marketing
With your permission, this website uses the same tracking tools as fortem-it.com. Analytics and site improvement include Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Zoho PageSense. Marketing and visitor recognition include Leadinfo, Lead Forensics, HubSpot, Mailchimp and Google Tag Manager.
Session recordings and heatmaps can record clicks, scrolling and other interactions. Leadinfo Form Tracking and Persona Insights can process names, email addresses, form field changes, attempted submissions and campaign link details to recognise organisations or match contacts to visits. Optional tools load only after you allow their category.
Use to accept, reject or change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops optional tools on reload and clears recognisable first-party optional cookies and storage. Information already sent to a provider is not automatically deleted; contact us about deletion.
We rely on consent for optional device storage and tracking. The cookie panel explains the analytics and marketing categories separately. Rejecting optional tracking does not stop you browsing or sending an enquiry.
Who receives information
Enquiries are stored privately in the education website’s WordPress system and sent to Fortem by email for authorised staff to review and respond. Hosting, email, security and IT service providers process information needed to operate those services. If a request needs a manufacturer, distributor or specialist delivery partner, we share only information needed for that work. Optional tracking providers receive information when you enable their category.
International processing
Some service providers process information outside the UK. Where applicable, transfers require an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Contact us for details of the arrangements relevant to your information.
Retention
We retain enquiry information only as long as needed for the enquiry, an ongoing business relationship, legal obligations or a dispute. Fortem’s retention policy provides for unsuccessful enquiries to be reviewed after up to 24 months from the last meaningful contact, spam after up to 90 days and test records after up to 30 days. Accounting records are normally retained for six years from the end of the relevant company financial year. A documented ongoing need can justify longer retention.
Minimal suppression records may be kept to respect an unsubscribe or marketing objection. Cookie choices are remembered for up to six months. Third-party cookies and tracking records follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements; ask us for information or a deletion request.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy, and object where we rely on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Requests are normally free and answered within one calendar month, subject to lawful exceptions and identity checks.
Contact hello@fortem-it.com or write to the registered office above. We will investigate complaints and explain the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Other websites and changes
Links to the Fortem main site, shop, LinkedIn, maps and supplier websites open separate services with their own policies. We update this notice when this website’s handling of information changes.
